Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and reassure members when they need us most.

Starting and finishing on your driveway, with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime available. A structured development programme with hands-on learning and IMI accreditation opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and provide quick, confident solutions.
• Work independently to help members continue their journeys safely.
• Utilise the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road.
