RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform diagnostics, and provide emergency breakdown support to keep members moving.

The role includes a structured development pathway with hands-on learning, IMI accreditation opportunities, and a 40-hour week with demand-led shifts and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsabilités

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to help members continue their journeys.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and solve problems and reassure members when needed.
• Use latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly and safely.
