Job summary
RAC is seeking a Roadside Mechanic to join our Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing each day from home and using provided tools and a RAC van.
The role focuses on quick, confident solutions with excellent member service, covering local clusters and travel to assist members on the road.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
- Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair
- Perform vehicle diagnostics
- Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
- Start/end days at home and travel locally to assist members
