Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division, covering local areas with the RAC van, tools, and diagnostic kit provided. You’ll perform roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support, starting and finishing from home while delivering high-quality member service across the UK.

The role requires NVQ 2 in light vehicle maintenance or 5+ years’ experience, plus a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home and operate with RAC van and toolkit.
