Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, getting members back on the road quickly.

You’ll start and end each day from home, equipped with your RAC van, diagnostic kit, and uniform. A UK driving licence with <6 points and NVQ Level 2 or 5+ years as a vehicle technician are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide emergency breakdown support with quick, confident solutions for members.
• Start and end your day at home, with a home-based schedule.
• You'll be provided with an RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.
