A leading transportation company in Immingham is seeking a Mobile Operative to assist in train operations and maintenance. The role involves preparation, ensuring safety during operations, and flexibility for various shifts, which may require working in challenging conditions. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training, starting at a competitive salary of £30,412 plus shift allowance. You will directly contribute to our service delivery and have the opportunity to influence the service we offer to our customers.
The role will cover a varied number of customer sites, DB Cargo UK sites and infrastructure worksites as required.
You will be required to work outside in all weather conditions come rain or shine.
Your standard hours of work will be 35 hours per week. Flexibility is a must as Freight never stops, so naturally this role will involve working shift patterns which includes unsociable hours
Full clean, manual driving licence
Located within a 1-hour commutable drive to the central hub point location - Barnetby Station
Maths & English GCSE Grade C/4 and above
Previous rail experience would be a bonus; however, this is not essential as we offer a 5-week residential (subject to location) training course into the role.
