Job summary

A leading corporate maintenance provider in Plymouth is seeking a qualified Gas Engineer to provide expert diagnosis and solutions for gas and hot & cold water systems. The ideal candidate will hold a commercial gas qualification and a valid Gas Safe registration. Responsibilities include performing maintenance checks, fault finding, and installations, and liaising with customers and contractors. A full UK driving license is required for this role, which involves regional travel.

Qualifications

• Must hold a commercial gas qualification/certification either COCN1 or CODNCO1.
• Experience of completing job certificates in electronic format.
• Full UK driving licence required for regional travel.

Job description

Responsibilities

Provide expert diagnosis and solutions for Gas and Hot & Cold Water systems. Carry out routine maintenance checks and some electrical maintenance tasks. Perform fault finding, repairs, and installations across a range of systems. Liaise directly with customers, engineers and sub‑contractors on a daily basis. Travel across a designated region.

Qualifications

• Must hold a commercial gas qualification/certification either COCN1 or CODNCO1 and be a Gas Safe registered Gas engineer.
• Ideally be qualified and accredited by Gas Safe in commercial gas modules to include CIGA1, CORT1, CENWAT and TPCP1A.
• Experience maintaining gas equipment / pipe work and hot and cold water systems.
• 18th edition or supplementary electrical skills will be highly desirable.
• Experience of completing job certificates in an electronic format.
• Full UK driving licence is required, as this vacancy will involve travel within a specified area for which a van will be provided.
• Demonstrable experience of liaising with customers.
• Experience of working alone or as part of a team.
• A good level of PC literacy.
