Role: Middle Office Manager

Location: London

A rapidly expanding physical commodities trading firm is looking to hire a Middle Office Manager to help build and strengthen their global middle office operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day middle office function while playing a key role in growing the team through hiring, training and ongoing development. You'll ensure accurate trade capture, P&L reporting and risk monitoring, acting as a vital bridge between trading, risk, operations, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities of the Middle Office Manager:

  • Manage daily middle office operations for physical commodities trading
  • Ensure timely and accurate trade capture, P&L production, and position reconciliation
  • Lead hiring efforts for middle office roles, working closely with HR and senior leadership
  • Train, mentor, and develop junior team members across regions
  • Improve systems, controls, and workflows to enhance middle office efficiency and scalability
  • Collaborate with front office, risk, finance, and operations to resolve trade-related issues and ensure data integrity
  • Support compliance and risk teams in monitoring exposure, credit, and operational risk

Key Requirements of the Middle Office Manager:
