MHF Default Process Coordinator

Serco have a great opportunity for a Merlin Helicopter Force (MHF) Default Process Coordinator to be an SME for all Aviation Electronic Information Systems, providing Quality Assurance and guidance on Merlin maintenance and data integrity issues.

You will play a vital part of the MHF Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) based at RNAS Culdrose, assisting industry partners and Navy Digital in the development and testing of data trending applications required by Forward Fleet Air Arm organisations to improve data exploitation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Carry out the review and update of Default Processes, in line with publication updates, and at periodicities specified by Force CAMO's.
  • Maintain a library of Default Processes created, and managed, including details of when they were checked and updated. Conducting 100% quality assurance checks on all changes made to CIETP in reference to and relating to the MHF Default Process Library.
  • Maintain MERIT databases, email and MODNET files, ensuring the safe filing and archiving of Data Integrity and Airworthiness data.
  • Provide an in-house training and mentoring solution for Default Process activities to Squadron/Unit custodians and MERIT personnel.
  • Liaise with Platform Delivery Teams (DTs) as required for technical publication matters.
  • Remain in date for all continuation training and competency checks required under current regulations, mid-level policy, Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) requirements and Station policy.
  • Attend GOLDesp/CAMO/CIETP meetings as directed by the Force CAMO's.
  • Carry out any rectification actions post Quality audit, as directed by Force CAMO's.
  • Add, update and/or amend information in GOLDesp records as required.
  • Investigate data integrity issues and progress any remedial/recovery/rectification actions identified on aircraft and items for all electronic work recording systems.
  • Act as liaison between the Merlin Forward Fleet and the Merlin DT for any non-policy issues.
  • Assist the MERIT team in the development and testing of data trending applications required by the Merlin CAMO.
  • Conduct data trending and Technical Data Exploitation (TDE) activities as directed by the MERIT I/C or CAMO WO.
  • Create SE items in GOLDesp in accordance with JAP(D)100A-0409, CIETP and local instructions.
  • Create SE items in GOLDesp in accordance with JAP(D)100A-0409, CIETP and local instructions. This involves life history checks using historic Electronic Asset Management (EAM) systems, sanitisation of historic records, verification of life, correcting errors and updating sanctions.
  • Update GOLDesp records on SE items for which the SE GOLDesp Boundary is custodian in accordance with JAP(D)100A-0409.
  • Supervise SE item creations as detailed by the Force CAMO's, providing data integrity oversight and assurance to the Military Continuing Airworthiness Manager (MilCAM).
  • Liaise with Air Station boundary cells when serial or part number changes are required, ensuring that the details are entered into the AERFC database.
  • Liaise with the SE GOLDesp user community regarding life and Service Instructions (Technical) (SI(T)).
  • To carry out any additional SE GOLDesp Boundary tasking as detailed by their Force CAMO's, within the individual's authorisations.
  • All contracted tasks are carried out in accordance with current Customer Policy and Regulations, inclusive of other applicable statutory Regulations and the Serco Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Contracted tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • The Serco AESAS Support Manager is made aware of all business risks and all verbal and written customer complaints/Quality issues.
  • Further training courses and any administration tasks as deemed necessary to their job are attended as directed by their Serco AESAS Support Manager.
  • Monitoring hazards and ensuring risks, and issues are identified and quantified.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and associated programmes when required.
  • Remain flexible and carry out any other tasks within their capabilities and experience in support of the Contract as directed by the Contract Director or their representative.
  • Promote Serco's professional Company image in all liaisons with internal and external agencies.
What you will need:
  • Experience in military/industry airworthiness environment equivalent.
  • Meet the requirements of RA4806 for award of MAM-P authorisations as required.
  • Held a Certificate of Competency to Supervise Aircraft Maintenance or approved alternative.
  • Have a working knowledge and experience of WRAM Online and EHUDS AEIS's.
  • To have completed a GOLDesp Aircraft Supervisor, Custodian or Coordinator, and Boundary courses.
  • To have write access to Resolve.
  • Completed a Maintenance Human Factors Course.
  • An understanding and proven experience of Airworthiness Engineering Safety and Compliance iaw Regulatory and Legislative requirements (MAA and MAOS) including the CAMO.
  • A good capability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining operational outputs.
