MFL Teacher – Secondary (Middlesbrough)

Location: Middlesbrough

Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Supply / Long-term

Start Date: ASAP

Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Middlesbrough to recruit a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. This role is suitable for QTS-qualified teachers, ECTs, and experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants with strong MFL subject knowledge (French, Spanish, or German).

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured MFL lessons (French, Spanish, or German).
  • Provide effective classroom cover when required.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
  • Maintain strong behaviour management and a positive learning environment.
  • Support students in developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or has relevant classroom experience in MFL (teachers, cover supervisors, or TA cover).
  • Confident teaching MFL across KS3–KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
  • Strong subject knowledge and communication skills.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and proactive.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
