Covering OX/RG (Oxford, Reading, Newbury), PO/GU (Portsmouth, Fareham, Guildford), DT/BH (Dorchester, Bournemouth, Poole), BN (Brighton, Worthing, Eastbourne), TN/ME (Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Maidstone, Medway), BS (Bristol, Weston-super-Mare), EX (Exeter, Barnstaple), PL (Plymouth, Launceston), BA/TA (Bath, Yeovil, Taunton, Bridgwater) and TQ/TR (Torquay, Newton Abbot, Truro, Falmouth, Penzance) plus surrounding towns and villages across these postcode areas.

No technical experience? No problem full training is provided.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Metering Health Worker, you’ll be out in the field supporting customers and ensuring their smart meters are working properly. Your role will involve:

  • Providing support to customers before and after smart meter installations
  • Clearly explaining how their meters work
  • Reconnecting meters and replacing SIMs, modems, batteries and aerials
  • Encouraging energy-saving behaviours
  • Carrying out site surveys and updating records using a tablet
