Position : Metal Shop Operative

Location: Isleworth (West London, TW7 6ER)

Job Type : Full-Time

Salary : Competitive, based on experience

Working Hours : Mon‑Thu 7:30am‑5:00pm / Fri 7:30am‑12:30pm

Job Purpose

To support the day‑to‑day operations of the metal fabrication shop, including assembling metal components to meet production specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery such as CNC, extrusion bender and insertion machine (full training will be provided).
  • Read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Perform metal cutting, drilling and shaping tasks accurately and safely.
  • Assemble fabricated metal parts using tools and equipment (e.g., rivet gun, hand drill & pillar drill).
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health & safety regulations.
  • Report faults or maintenance issues with machines or tools.
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently.
  • Follow work instructions and meet production deadlines.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a metal workshop or similar environment.
  • Basic knowledge of metalworking tools and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Health & safety awareness.
