Our client is a fast-growing technology company developing IoT hardware and software solutions that transform how buildings manage water. Their systems monitor usage in real time, use Machine Learning to detect anomalies and prevent leaks before they become costly disasters—helping customers reduce water consumption by 20-25% while protecting critical assets.

As they scale into global markets, they're looking for a Solutions Engineer with a strong MEP or building services background to join their London-based solutions team.

The Role

This is a highly visible, hands‑on role sitting at the intersection of engineering, technology and customer delivery. You'll design and scope real‑world deployments for construction and real‑estate projects, working closely with clients and internal teams to turn complex requirements into robust, scalable solutions.

You'll be involved from early design through to site surveys, coordination and delivery—making a direct impact on how smart water technology is adopted across the built environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Design and scope system deployments, producing technical plans and specifications for construction and real‑estate projects
  • Conduct site surveys to assess installation, integration and compliance requirements
  • Present and explain technical solutions to clients with clarity and confidenceli>
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product, customer success, operations and project teams
  • Work with international colleagues across multiple time zones and markets
  • Support business development activities across the UK and Europe
What We're Looking For
Essential
  • B.Eng in Building Services, MEP, or Civil/Environmental Engineering (with a water systems focus)
  • 4+ years' experience in MEP engineering, building services or water systems
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, MEP plans and plumbing schematics
  • Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations and BS standards
  • Technically curious, quick to learn and confident working with clients
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid setup (London office + remote)
Desirable
  • CIBSE membership or working toward chartership
  • Background in plumbing systems or water management
  • UK construction project experience
  • BIM tools experience (AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam)
  • Interest or experience in IoT, smart buildings or connected systems
