Mental Health Teaching Assistant - Aylesbury (SEMH Provision)

Are you a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Teaching Assistant local to Aylesbury looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Academics are supporting a specialist SEMH provision in Aylesbury that is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team on a temporary basis starting immediately.

As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant in Aylesbury, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You'll help students develop confidence, build positive relationships, and re-engage with learning. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will deliver tailored support, manage behaviour effectively, and create a safe, nurturing environment for every learner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with SEMH and associated learning needs in 1:1 and small group settings
  • Assist with implementing behaviour and learning strategies
  • Help create an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
  • Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals to support student progress
