A healthcare provider is looking for a passionate and experienced Therapist to join their Complex Trauma Service in the Shrewsbury/Tamworth area. You will deliver trauma-informed therapeutic services for children and young people through direct therapy and staff training while collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with children and be registered with the relevant professional body. They will provide a supportive environment aimed at enabling children to reach their full potential.

You will be providing a trauma informed therapeutic service for children and young people through staff training, consultation, individual assessment and direct therapy. The therapist will support staff to build positive and healthy relationships with young people to enable them to grow, develop and achieve their full potential through the use of a range of therapeutic approaches such as DDP, PACE, Therapeutic Parenting etc.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing clinical team as a Therapist supporting children and young people living in our complex trauma homes. The Complex Trauma Service is part of the Cambian Group; the UKs largest provider of specialist services in childrens residential care, education, mental health and learning disability services. The post will require someone with previous experience of working as a qualified therapist with children and young people in a CAMHS or related setting and specifically within Looked After Childrens services.

The therapist will support staff to build positive and healthy relationships with young people to enable them to grow, develop and achieve their full potential through the use of a range of therapeutic approaches such as DDP, PACE, Therapeutic Parenting etc. This role will require you to work holistically to help staff develop the children and young peoples wellbeing, independence and social and emotional resiliency, as part of the consultative model and with a multi-disciplinary approach with other professionals involved. You will also be expected to provide individual therapy utilising trauma informed evidence-based approaches.
