Overview

Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care team at Derwentside IRC, a female‑only facility for 84 women, based in the north of England. This role is 16 hours – 2 shifts per week.

Salary Up to £47,466 depending on experience

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options
  • Undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed
  • Assess patients' health needs using an evidence‑based framework and be able to risk assess with sound clinical knowledge
  • Work with individuals providing advice, support and information and manage a caseload of patients
  • Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
  • Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects, liaising with prescribers as required
  • Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders
  • Promote best practice, clinical supervision, and evidence‑based care
  • Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi‑disciplinary teams and supporting each other to do a great job
