A regional NHS Trust seeks enthusiastic clinicians for a part-time role providing mental health support to A&E departments. You will work in a multidisciplinary team, offer specialist assessments, and ensure holistic care for individuals across various ages. The position includes flexibility in working and a range of benefits such as generous leave and pension options. Ideal candidates should have a passion for acute mental health and thrive in high-impact environments.
We are a part‑time role – 31.5 hours per week.
The team will provide comprehensive assessment, advice, ongoing support and monitoring of patients with mental health needs across all wards. We provide psychological support to patients and carers referred to our services in conjunction with ongoing physical health needs, ensuring holistic care throughout the patient’s stay in hospital.
Band 6 clinicians work as enthusiastic team members across the acute hospitals, assessing patients in an autonomous, systematic way, developing and reviewing treatment plans, advising and supporting acute staff and referring patients on through established referral pathways. Clinicians also contribute to the development of training packages and deliver bespoke training to acute Trust staff. We provide guidance, support and education to frontline NHS staff.
This is an opportunity to be part of a developing team which will be researched based in design according to the needs of the acute inpatient population.
