Our client are looking for a freelance Medical Writer for up to 30 hours a week. This is initially for 1 month with a possibility of extension / ad‑hoc work in future.
This position would span a few different TAs, including but not limited to ophthalmology, nephrology, immunology, etc. The most important aspect to us would be experience in medical affairs and the ability to hit the ground running.
Helps to lead meetings and strategic discussions with authors, and advisors.
Leads content delivery for complex projects with minimal supervision from senior team, delegating to AMW / MWs as needed and where appropriate to ensure timely execution to a high standard.
Challenges and evolves client briefs as appropriate to ensure a high‑quality result aligned with a client’s goals.
Takes responsibility for overall quality of deliverables with minimal oversight.
Reviews JMWs’ and MWs’ work for adherence to brief, client objectives and quality of writing, providing constructive feedback.
Acts as scientific partner with clients and HCPs as required, with expert and up‑to‑date understanding of the therapy area.
You should bring a strong scientific background with a degree in a scientific or medical discipline (post‑graduate degree preferred). A high level of academic achievement is expected.
You should bring previous experience of medical writing at an SMW level or above.
A passion for, and profound understanding of, healthcare, science, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry is essential, as well as a keen interest in AI technologies.
You’ll need to be personable, articulate, and capable of nurturing relationships. Previous experience mentoring MWs and interacting regularly with clients is essential.
