Job Summary

Epsom and St Helier Postgraduate Medical Centre (PGMC) offers a comprehensive educational programme for doctors in training as well as activities to support the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of locally employed doctors (LEDs), medical consultants and general practitioners (GP).

The postholder will be a key member of the team, providing front of house services and supporting the educational programmes for local doctors.

  • Providing front of house services including reception, audio‑visual support and general support to conference and events activities;
  • Supporting the general programmes and events for Postgraduate Medical Education;
  • Supporting educational programmes for Locally Employed Doctors (LEDs) in medicine, including Horus portfolio support, enhanced induction and practical procedure training days.
Main duties of the job

This is a customer facing role and the postholder will provide a front of house service for the postgraduate medical centres including answering queries face‑to‑face, over the telephone and via email, processing room bookings, setting up and closing down rooms and any ad‑hoc requirements to ensure training rooms meet users needs.

  • Administering and organising the provision of education services for the medical specialities training programmes; including organising weekly teaching sessions and periodic regional study days, recording and monitoring training session attendance.
  • Supporting meetings for medical specialities and the medical education department.
  • Data entry and maintaining records.
  • Responding to day‑to‑day issues and reporting faults to ensure a safe and secure learning and working environment is maintained.
  • Co‑ordinating trust‑wide and cross‑site learning activities as part of the team.
