A local medical practice in Barnsley is looking for an Experienced Medical Receptionist to fill a 30-hour post. The role involves booking appointments, entering patient data, answering calls, and general administrative duties. As a receptionist you are often the first person the patients meet. We are looking for an Experienced Medical Receptionist to fill a 30 hours post
You will:
Book patients in for their appointments
Enter patient details onto the computer system
Direct patients where to go within the health centre
Answer telephone calls, sometimes directing call to other staff members through the phone system.
Book and triage appointments by telephone.
Answer queries from patients and other staff members.
Dealing with telephone enquiries.
Booking and amending patientappointments in line with practice procedures ensuring optimum efficiency ofour appointments system.
Electronically filing documents
Dealing with medication requests.
Copy and recording medical notes.
Other duties will include.
Filing
Chasing up patient results andreports
Photocopying
Word Processing
We are a small practice with around 2,500 patients and we pride ourselves in our personal service and our friendly approach to our patients and workforce.
You will:
