A major healthcare provider in Stoke-on-Trent seeks a candidate for a role within Pathology. The position involves performing both routine and non-routine tasks, including the operation and maintenance of Point of Care Testing (POCT) equipment, along with clerical duties to support Biomedical Scientists. Candidates should be prepared to adhere to health and safety policies and assist Pathology Support Workers. This role contributes significantly to the quality service provided to a diverse patient population.
University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. This is in accordance with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill nor salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa, you must also have at least six months until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.
The post holder will be required to perform a range of routine and non-routine tasks within Pathology and also in clinical areas following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including the Pathology Quality Policy, to provide clerical and technical support to Biomedical Scientists in order to ensure a high quality service in all areas of Point of Care Testing (POCT).
