Qualifications

  • Experience with conveyors, belts, diesel engines, gearboxes, braking systems & generators.
  • Proven welding and fabrication experience.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair manual handling equipment, conveyors, and processing machinery.
  • Inspect and service machinery in line with OEM guidelines.
  • Conduct safety inspections in accordance with company policies.

Skills

Strong skills in pneumatic welding

Good communication skills

Education

Level 2 qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent

Mechanical Maintenance Technician –

£18- £21 per hour + Overtime

Your Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair manual handling equipment, conveyors, and high-speed processing machinery
  • Perform PPM servicing to ensure machinery meets company standards
  • Inspect and service plant & production machinery in line with OEM guidelines
  • Conduct plant safety inspections in line with company policies
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following health & safety regulations
  • Report hazards, defective equipment, and unsafe practices to the safety advisor
What We’re Looking For
  • Level 2 qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with conveyors, belts, motors, diesel engines, gearboxes, braking systems & generators
  • Strong skills in pneumatic welding, hydraulics, and electrical motors
  • Proven welding and fabrication experience
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Own basic engineering toolkit (spanners, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Flexible approach and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Good communication skills
