Mechanical Inspector

Job Location: Poole, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent position

Salary: Up to £17.94 per hour / £673.07 per week / £35,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4pm & Friday 7.30am - 1pm

Overview

A well-established engineering company based in Poole are looking to recruit for a Mechanical Inspector on a permanent basis. The role will see you inspect all goods in, goods out and various engineered parts and assemblies. This is a busy and pivotal role for the company.

Responsibilities

Duties will include;

• Inspecting manufactured and bought-in parts/ components
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometres and callipers
• Work from process instructions and engineering drawings
• Identify and report any quality concerns or non-conformances
• Maintain accurate records

Qualifications

As the Mechanical Inspector, you will possess;

• Previous experience of mechanical / quality inspection
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Confident at using measuring equipment
• Any previous experience of using an CMM is advantageous but not essential
