Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Field Service Engineer for a market leading business within the Corrugation Industry who install and service equipment across sites in the UK and Ireland.

This is a permanent role that has been created due to continued expansion. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an Electrical maintenance based role within an manufacturing environment.

Candidates will be time served ( Minimum NVQ Level 3) Qualified in Mechanical Engineering. Experience of working on large scale production equipment is a must. Candidates must have experience working on a range of mechanical systems including Gearboxes, Motors, Shafts , Rollers, Chains/ Belts, Drives.

This is primarily a Days based role with current staff working on site 37.5 hours per week + Overtime + Travel. Candidates can manage their own workload but will require weekend work.

All travel time is paid door to door + all additional hours paid at premium rates - Realistic Earnings up to £75k.

The role will cover sites across the UK so a willingness to travel is required.

This role would ideally suit a candidate with a demonstrable maintenance background looking to develop and progress into a field service based role.

Package includes 30 days leave + stats, Private Health and Dental and a great pension scheme.

Role Description
  • Provide support to client sites across the UK and Ireland.
  • Support in Installation and Commissioning of machinery.
  • Support customer's systems to aid in improving productivity.
  • Fault finding and rectification of Mechanical Faults.
  • Maintenance – Routine and Reactive maintenance covering all aspects of Mechanical work.
  • Training – Operational and maintenance training of customer staff.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience working within a maintenance role within an industrial manufacturing environment is a must.
  • Experience working on Corrugators is highly advantageous.
  • Field Service Experience - advantageous.
  • Candidates must be time served and qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong customer service mindset.
  • Willing to travel as required to sites in the UK and Ireland.
