Trevett Services are delighted to be partnering with leading Maintenance Service Provider to make the key appointment of Mechanical Estimator. My client is an established Maintenance Service Provider, specializing in the installation and maintenance of building services to the built environment across Greater London and the Home Counties. London centric with head office based in Kent £70k. Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Mechanical Estimator will play a crucial role in analysing project specifications and preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services projects. Working closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered within budget constraints while maintaining quality standards.

Key Duties
  • Analyse project drawings and specifications to determine accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs & cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Evaluate potential risks and opportunities in project estimates.
  • Present estimates to management and participate in bid reviews.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the project and provide cost control support.
About you
  • Experience as a Mechanical Estimator (Building Services Maintenance & Installation) with either a Service Provider or Contractor.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
