Engineer Surveyor – Lifting Equipment (Mechanical Engineer Surveyor – Cranes & Lifting Equipment)

Location: Cumbria

Salary: £56K+ (£42K-£45K basic + Company car or Car allowance, private health, double matching pension, overtime for additional earnings).

Main Accountabilities
  • Inspection and certification of cranes and lifting equipment (Gantry Crane, Crawler Cranes, Scissor lift, MEWPs, Excavators, FLT's).
  • Work to LOLER and PUWER regulations.
  • Create and manage client diary and patch.
  • Maintain client relationships.
  • Provide full technical specialist support.
  • Operate within agreed authorities, inspection and H&S standards.
  • Clear customer focus and drive to achieve optimal service delivery.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Level 4 qualification (e.g., HNC) or above, mechanical‑based subject.
  • Hands‑on experience fixing, inspecting, maintaining, repairing or servicing lifting equipment or cranes.
  • UK driving licence.
  • Customer‑facing skills.
