Join a leading engineering consultancy working on complex, safety‑critical projects within the defence sector. This is a 12‑month contract based on a hybrid model, supporting operations and future programmes across key UK sites.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and maintain design substantiation documents for nuclear infrastructure.
  • Manage design changes and concessions, ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements.
  • Prepare and present technical justifications to internal safety committees.
  • Produce and assess maintenance schedules, operating procedures, and inspection results.
  • Provide technical advice and peer reviews for internal teams and external contractors.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with knowledge of industrial plant and machinery (e.g., pumps, generators).
  • Strong understanding of British and European design standards and practices.
  • Ability to produce robust technical justifications for design modifications in high‑hazard environments.
  • Experience working on multi‑disciplinary projects within industrial or maritime sectors.
  • Minimum HNC in a relevant discipline; Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience.
