Mechanical Assembly Technician

Temporary

Kinetic Industrial are assisting a global Manufacturer of Turbochargers with their recruitment of Mechanical Assembly Operatives. With over 70 years behind them, they are a world leader in engine boosting turbo systems. This is an on‑going, temporary position – which may lead to a permanent position – based in Handforth.

You will be working:

• Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm
• Friday 8am to 1pm

Hourly Pay Rate

• £12.28 whilst training
• £13.65 once trained

As the Assembly Technician you will be:

• Rotating between manufacturing & re‑manufacturing of the turbo charges
• Assembly of different sized turbo chargers
• Performing quality checks to ensure the turbo charger meets the job specification.
• Disassembly of turbos for re‑manufacturing, stripping and tear down, with accurate recording of data working and accurate scrap rates, failure and outputs
• Working to high specifications and targets.
• Flexible to work within all areas and have a good understanding of the different processes
• Using different hand tools and able to interpret diagrams
• Meeting targets and working within different teams
• Quality checking all processes of assembly

What we are looking for from the next Assembly Technician:

• Previous assembly experience
• Working with Turbo Chargers would be an advantage but not essential
• Experience using a variety of different hand tools
• Able to carry out heavy manual duties
• Health & safety aware
• Ability to work in both a clean and industrial like workshop
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
