Specialist Passenger Solutions provides essential bus services transporting thousands of workers to and from Sizewell C. By joining our technician team, you will work across a variety of vehicle types, including electric, hydrogen and diesel vehicles, using cutting‑edge diagnostic technology. You will play a key role in ensuring vehicles meet our safety and performance standards, enabling us to deliver outstanding service for our customers every day. Shift options: 04:00 – 12:30 or 13:00 – 21:30. Specialist Passenger Solutions welcome applications from all backgrounds.

Responsibilities
  • Part of a team providing MOT preparation, vehicle inspection, maintenance, diagnostic and repair services to a varied PCV fleet.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of vehicle inspection standards and compliance requirements.
  • Promote and ensure a good working relationship between engineering and operations departments.
  • Control and monitor parts usage and stock control.
  • Consistently proactive in ensuring peak vehicle requirement is achieved.
Qualifications
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or C&G equivalent or above in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (PCV preferred).
  • At least two years relevant, recent, and demonstrable post‑training experience in heavy vehicle engineering, preferably PCV.
  • Ability to apply consistently high standards of technical judgement.
  • Pragmatic and proactive, can‑do attitude to short notice workshop deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to working hours as we work towards becoming a 24/7 business.
  • Possession of a full driving licence (category D desirable).
Desirable
  • PCV Electrical system aptitude and experience in the bus industry.
  • Good electrical and diagnostic ability.
  • Possession of IRTEC licence (Inspection / Service Maintenance Technician).
  • Knowledge of the transport sector.

All employees must be willing to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks and hold or obtain a DBS certificate.
