Kelly Group is seeking to recruit exceptional talent to join our growing team. We now have a unique and exciting opportunity for a skilled Mobile Mechanic to support our nationwide operations. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, enjoys working independently, and thrives in a dynamic, field-based environment.
Routine Servicing & Maintenance:
Carry out planned servicing and preventive maintenance on company vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Fault Diagnosis:
Use diagnostic tools and mechanical expertise to identify faults quickly and accurately.
Repairs & Component Replacement:
Strip, fit, repair, and replace defective vehicle components, ensuring all work meets manufacturer and safety standards.
MOT Preparation:
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, completing all necessary checks and adjustments to achieve compliance.
Documentation & Reporting:
Complete job cards, service sheets, and all relevant paperwork accurately, ensuring they are returned on a weekly basis.
Parts & Stock Management:
Work closely with the stores team to facilitate efficient stock control and timely ordering of parts.
Work Assessment:
Identify any additional repairs or specialist work required and advise if the work should be undertaken by external contractors.
Operational Liaison:
Communicate with operations managers to schedule vehicle servicing and minimise operational downtime.
Fleet Maintenance:
Support the wider team by diagnosing faults, servicing, and maintaining the entire LGV fleet as required.
Minimum 3 years’ experience working as an LGV/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
Proven competence in vehicle diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to varying workloads.
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
