Overview

Job Title - Maths Lecturer

Salary - 31,930- 36,878 per annum DOE and Qualifications (Pro-Rata for part time) + Market Supplement of up to 3,000

Location - Northamptonshire (multiple vacancies across the region)

Contract Type - Permanent - Full and Part Time roles available

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Lecturers / Trainee Lecturers in Maths to join a dynamic and supportive department, with multiple vacancies available across Northamptonshire. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire learners and make a real impact in further education.

Role Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Maths lessons across a range of levels and qualifications.
  • Support and monitor student progress through tutorials, guidance, and feedback.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and development of new learning resources.
  • Ensure teaching meets awarding body standards and individual learner needs.
  • Maintain accurate records, meet assessment and reporting deadlines, and engage in quality assurance processes.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion within all learning environments.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to team meetings and quality improvement.
Essential Requirements
  • Degree or Level 5 qualification in Maths (or working towards), with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Recent teaching and assessment experience in Maths at Level 2 or above (or willingness to train as a Trainee Lecturer).
  • A recognised teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, PTTLS) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong organisational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and flexibility to work across multiple sites.
  • Passion for creating inclusive, student-centred learning environments.

Newly qualified Maths Lecturers may also be eligible for a Targeted Retention Incentive Payment of up to 6,000, a government-funded grant to support early-career FE teachers in maths.
