Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.

What are your contributions to the team?

In a working capacity and in conjunction with the supervisor, oversee daily activities for an assigned functional area of Bombardier Business Aircraft Services (i.e. Stores).

In your role you will;
  • Coordinate workload, overtime and job assignments for team members in assigned functional area
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to assigned employees in order to promote acquisition of technical proficiency and trouble shoot problems for assigned area(s)
  • Monitor day-to-day activities for assigned area and report issues and risks to immediate supervisor
  • Provide verbal and written turnover indicating status of work progress
  • Oversee employee activities and document as required using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and related materials.
  • Assist in establishing and assisting with training plans for your team
  • Assist in the development and management of performance metrics

  • Typically, previous and relevant aircraft parts stores experience or substantiated equivalent experience in functional area
  • Exhibits effective leadership skills
  • Ability necessary to train employees in the performance of duties within area of specialization
  • Demonstrated planning / organizational and time management skills necessary to prioritize, assign and coordinate workload of team members within a multiple project setting
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with assigned employees, other business areas, contractors and customers
  • Performed with supervision within prescribed framework of authority
Additional desired / preferred qualifications
  • Counterbalance Forklift License
  • The ability to forecast and plan resource and workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
