Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Master/Diagnostic Technician to join our busy and friendly dual franchise Service Department at Platinum Hyundai Trowbridge. You will be competent in vehicle diagnosis, service, repair and MOT inspections, and maintain the high standards our customers have come to expect.

The ideal candidate will be capable of performing in depth diagnostic work, be presentable, enthusiastic and self-motivated. You will need to have the ability to work to the highest of manufacturer standards, either as part of a team or independently. Preferred but not essential would be a candidate with current Hyundai or Kia vehicle experience.

To be considered for this role:

  • You must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent and qualified to Master/Diagnostic Technician Level.
  • Have EV and Hybrid vehicle repair qualifications.
  • Hold a current vehicle MOT tester licence.
  • Show excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Have proven experience as a Master/Diagnostic Technician or equivalent in a main dealership environment and have strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • You will ideally have experience of working in a busy high quality workshop environment.
  • Ability to record accurate records of completed work including manufacturer warranty processes and requirements.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
  • Maintain high standards of work and ensure all jobs are completed efficiently accurately.
  • To take an active part in upholding the companies Health & Safety policy.
