The Opportunity

We are looking for a Marketing Cofounder / CMO to design and execute Homesty’s entire marketing and growth strategy from the ground up.

This is a true cofounder role — not a job.

Compensation
  • Equity: 10% – 15%
  • Vesting: 3 years, 1-year cliff
  • Salary: None for the first 6–12 months

Your Mission

Make Homesty the reference rental platform in the UK.

Specifically, you will:

  • Position Homesty at the top of Google for searches like
  • rent flat Manchester no agent, rent without fees, fast rental UK
  • Design and execute an organic-first growth strategy (SEO, AEO, content, virality)
  • Create disruptive, educational, and viral content that converts
  • Generate continuous PR and media coverage
  • Build Homesty into a trusted, visible, and loved brand
  • Work hand-in-hand with product and founders to align growth and UX
What You’ll Do - Different hats for a brilliant mind!
  • Own SEO & AEO (AI-driven content optimisation)
  • Build organic and viral acquisition loops
  • Drive PR, press relationships, and earned media
  • Create content across web, social, and platforms
  • Execute paid growth only when it makes sense
  • Measure, iterate, and scale what works
  • Operate fully hands-on — strategy + execution
Who We’re Looking For

This role is open to:

  • Senior marketers (+7 years) with proven growth experience
  • Exceptional early-career marketers (2–3 years) with founder-level ambition

What matters is impact, not years.

You likely have:

  • Proven experience in organic, viral, and content-led growth
  • Strong SEO and digital marketing expertise in competitive markets
  • Hands-on mindset: you execute yourself
  • Experience in PR, media, or storytelling
  • Ability to operate with no or very limited budget
  • Strategic thinking with fast execution
  • Comfort working in tools like Framer, analytics, design, and writing
  • High autonomy, strong collaboration, and extreme ownership
  • Passion for fixing broken industries
Sales Mindset & Customer Contact

This role is not purely behind a screen. The Marketing Cofounder must be comfortable with sales and direct user contact. You should not be afraid of reaching out, calling, messaging, and speaking directly with landlords, tenants, partners, and early adopters. You will actively test messaging, validate value propositions, gather objections, and turn real conversations into marketing insights, content, and growth strategies. If you enjoy interacting with users, understand their pain points firsthand, and are confident explaining value and closing interest, you will thrive in this role.
