We are seeking a proactive and creative Marketing and Events Assistant to join our team at St Peter’s School. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for engagement, strong organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Job Title: Marketing and Events Assistant

Department: Marketing

Responsible to: Marketing Manager but working closely with the Events Manager

Contract type: 20 hours per week to be worked flexibly. All year round contract. There may be additional work during holiday times but this would be subject to business needs.

Grade/Salary: £13,896 (£26,055 Point 2 on the Support Pay Scale prorated)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Overall purpose of the post:

We are seeking a proactive and creative Marketing and Events Assistant to join our team at St Peter’s School. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for engagement, strong organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key responsibilities:

Marketing Support

  • Assist in the creation and scheduling of engaging content across social media platforms, newsletters, and the school website.
  • Support the development of marketing materials including brochures, flyers, and digital assets.
  • Help maintain brand consistency across all communications.
  • Monitor and report on digital engagement metrics and campaign performance.
  • Liaise with external suppliers such as printers, designers, and photographers.

Events Coordination

  • Support the planning and delivery of internal and external events including open days, parent evenings, alumni gatherings, public lectures and fundraising events.
  • Assist with the school’s commercial lettings programme
  • Coordinate logistics such as venue setup, catering, signage, and AV requirements.
  • Assist with event promotion and post-event evaluation.
  • Provide on-the-day support to ensure smooth running and a positive experience for attendees.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate records and databases for marketing and events activities.
  • Assist with budget tracking and invoice processing.
  • Respond to enquiries related to marketing and events in a professional and timely manner.
  • Any other duties as directed and commensurate with the grade.
