Overview

Marketing and Communications Manager

Location: Manchester

Salary: £50k to £55K DOE

Full time: Permanent

Hybrid: 2-3 days in the office

We are looking for a dynamic marketing and communications leader to drive our client's brand forward. In this role, you will develop and execute innovative strategies across digital, PR, and partnerships to boost brand visibility, deepen customer engagement, and grow their market share. Through compelling storytelling, you will solidify our client's position as a trusted leader in the sports performance and therapeutic health sectors, playing a key role in their continuous business growth.

The Role

• Develop and execute the annual marketing strategy, using market research and customer insights to achieve key business objectives.
• Oversee all digital channels (social media, email, web) and lead the creation of engaging content that translates technical information into compelling stories for both elite sport and therapeutic health audiences.
• Spearhead PR campaigns, media relations, and product launches, acting as the guardian of the brand's voice to ensure consistency across all platforms.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with sports clubs, healthcare professionals, and industry partners, while managing brand activations and representing our client at key events.
• Work closely with product, performance, and medical teams to ensure all messaging is accurate, aligned, and impactful.
• Track marketing performance against KPIs and ROI, delivering clear reports that inform future strategy and demonstrate business impact.

Who we are looking for

• Strong aptitude for copywriting and storytelling.
• Competent in using digital marketing tools, including social media platforms, CRM systems, and CMS platforms.
• Skilled at conveying complex or technical information in clear, accessible language.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, WordPress, or Meta Ads (advantageous).
• At least four years’ experience in marketing or communications, ideally within sport, health tech, performance apparel, or wellness.
• Demonstrated success in managing integrated marketing campaigns and achieving measurable results.
• Experience in developing brand presence across both digital and offline channels.
• Prior involvement in elite sport, healthcare, or wellness sectors (desirable)
