Are you looking to start or develop a career in the marine industry? Do you enjoy hands‑on work, variety in your day, and being part of a close‑knit team? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well‑established marina operator at a stunning South Coast location.

We’re recruiting a Marina Operative on behalf of one of the UK’s leading marina groups. This role offers a great blend of practical marina duties and customer interaction, set in a busy, professional boating environment where no two days are the same. Full training is provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone keen to build long‑term skills and experience within the marine sector.

The position is rota‑based and will include a mix of weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, evenings, and occasional night shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting day‑to‑day marina operations
  • Providing a high standard of customer service to berth holders and visitors
  • Working both outdoors and indoors in a fast‑paced marine environment
  • Assisting the wider marina team to ensure safe, efficient operations
Qualifications
  • Friendly, approachable, and confident dealing with customers
  • Reliable, adaptable, and positive in their approach to work
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • A strong team player who can also work independently
  • Confident using basic computer systems
  • Calm and professional under pressure
  • Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and nights
  • In possession of a full UK driving licence

Previous marina, boating, or waterside experience is advantageous but not essential. Attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn are far more important, with full training provided.
