Job description

The Manufacturing Quality Competency engineer is a role responsible for overseeing TPDG BMS in alignment with the global ISO 9001 Standard, ensuring the availability of process and work instructions within the Business Management System (BMS) at GSI level, managing Manufacturing Quality competency, developing onboarding training plans, lead the "Quality School" for operators' development. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong change management skills and excellence in Problem Solving aligned with GSI standard process and tools. This role reports to the Manufacturing Quality Leader in Stafford., Mentoring & development of the manufacturing quality team.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting proper manufacturing quality document creation & control on the BMS
  • RCA delivery & coaching
  • New Manufacturing Quality gate review process implementation
  • Quality school - operator development
  • CTQ deployment in alignment with Engineering
  • Process Auditing & Coaching
  • Manufacturing Quality Lessons learnt identification and implementation
  • PFMEA/DFMEA - Coaching & support
  • Risk mitigation process
  • Apprentice development
  • QRDM support (QR3)
  • Manufacturing Quality Problem resolution
Zero Defect Framework
  • Ensure requirement from Zero Defect Framework is deployed in Stafford Manufacturing, including maturity assessment, action plan and governance.
Change Management
  • Proven experience in leading change initiatives within a quality management context.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams through periods of change.
Quality Performance Management (KPIs)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Ability to use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration); Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
