Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for an initial 12-month contract in Glasgow. The role involves developing and improving manufacturing processes while ensuring a 'Zero Defects' approach. Ideal candidates will have an HNC qualification in Engineering, strong data analysis skills, and an understanding of Lean Principles.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC level in an Engineering subject or with relevant experience.
• Computer literate and capable of effective communication on technical issues.
• General awareness of Manufacturing Systems.

Manufacturing Engineer - Initial 12 month contract

Salary: £32.47 DOE (inside)

Location: Glasgow

Responsibilities

• Take a 'Zero Defects' approach in all day to day activities.
• Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes
• Create, maintain and/or govern elements which clearly define the manufacturing process and control them effectively.
• Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC level in an Engineering subject or with experience
• Computer literate and able to communicate effectively at all levels on technical issues.
• General awareness of Manufacturing Systems
• 'Lean Principles' understanding
• Continuous Improvement mindset
• Ability to read technical drawings related to manufacturing/repair process.
