About the Role

The Management Information Systems (MIS) Assistant is a key part of the MIS team processing learner information and data for a particular campus within the RNN Group. If you wish to be part of a team assisting learners to achieve their potential by providing academic departments and learners with key administrative services and advice, then this could be the perfect role working within a college that is committed to investing in the professional development of its workforce.

The role of MIS Assistant will process learner information including enrolment documentation, exam entries, transfers withdrawals and achievements and assist in the curriculum planning process to contribute to the effective delivery of a high-quality Management Information Service. The role requires working closely with the MIS Officer and Exams Officer and other members of the MIS team to ensure that an accurate and responsive service is provided on each campus.

Through a proactive, enthusiastic and customer focused approach you will help the College achieve our mission to lead skills and innovation within our communities, through outstanding teaching and learning. Your work will ultimately lead to a high quality, robust and informative service throughout the learners’ journey from enrolment to completion of their course.

You will…

You will have experience of working in an administration environment, preferably within an educational sector. You will ideally have knowledge of using computer packages and be able to work accurately to ensure deadlines are met whilst providing excellent customer service.

You will have qualifications in English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE), good IT skills and a high-level of attention to details, a strong customer service approach and be able to work efficiently and proactively.

Department Info

You will report to the MIS Officer, working within the MIS team based at Dearne Valley College, which forms part of the Groups’ Management Information Systems Department.
