Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and commercially focused Management Accountant to support the financial performance of our manufacturing site. Working closely with the Site Financial Controller and Plant Leadership Team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and robust financial control to support operational and strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Control

• Support the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts in line with internal policies and controls.
• Assist with internal and external financial reporting requirements.
• Support the preparation, monitoring, and delivery of the site budget.

Management Accounting & Analysis

• Provide timely and meaningful financial analysis to support plant performance.
• Partner with operational managers to understand cost drivers and performance trends.
• Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc analysis and reporting.

Cost Accounting, Inventory & Assets

• Maintain accurate costing of products, inventory, and overheads.
• Support inventory control processes, reconciliations, and physical stock counts.
• Assist with asset accounting and related controls.

Forecasting & Month‑End

• Contribute to forecasting and planning cycles.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journals for month‑end close.
• Review and analyse expense accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Support

• Act as a finance business partner to operational teams.
• Promote a customer‑focused, service‑driven finance function.
• Build strong working relationships across the site.

Continuous Improvement & Culture

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within finance and operations.
• Champion company values and contribute to a high‑performance culture.
• Promote safe working practices within the finance function.

About You

• Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA preferred)
• Experience in a manufacturing or operational finance environment (desirable)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement focus
