Are you an experienced finance professional who thrives on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement? We have an exciting opportunity to join B&M and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements, supporting critical reconciliations, and driving excellence in month-end processes.

As a Management Accountant, you will support the MA Manager in producing a subset of UK financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate accounting, and delivering high-quality reconciliations. You will be involved in month-end close activities and ensure Oracle module transactions (Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Cash) are accurate and reconciled before transfer to the General Ledger. This role is based 5 days a week in our Support Centre, Speke Liverpool (L24).

Responsibilities
  • Developing a thorough understanding of assigned accounts and data flows.
  • Monitoring automated Oracle postings and post manual journals accurately.
  • Supporting month-end close by validating balances and explaining variances.
  • Preparing high-quality balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate and distribute timely financial reports.
  • Take ownership of Oracle modules to ensure transaction accuracy pre-GL.
  • Investigate errors, identify root causes, and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in account reconciliation, ideally in retail.
  • An accounting qualification or be working towards (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) - study support is available!
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion would be an advantage, though not essential.
  • Proven ability to reconcile complex accounts and communicate findings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
