Job summary

A UK-based finance company is seeking a Management Accountant to join their expanding Finance Division. The role involves preparing management accounts, maintaining reconciliations, and analyzing performance against budgets. The ideal candidate should be a part/fully qualified accountant with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments. This position offers a salary range of £50k - £60k and includes a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Job description

Overview

Management Accountant now required for the expansion of this Finance Division. You will be joining this UK based company at an exciting time, with recent investment taking this business over £100m. The role will naturally continue to grow into a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts
• Work within a team to complete the month end processing, including accruals, prepayments, fixed asset disposals, additions, depreciation and other journals
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyse performance against budgets and explain variances to relevant managers
• Interpretation and presentation of ad hoc financial reports
• Critical analysis of the numbers to gain a thorough understanding of the business activity behind them
• Work with the Operations teams to develop reporting and act as the link between Operations and Finance
• Develop management information (MI) reporting for the Finance function and the wider Company
• IFRS 16 additions, disposals, and postings
• Support the Group Financial Controller in the production of MI for the Management meeting
• Support with the implementation of the new ERP system

• Monday - Friday, 40 hours
