Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the Maintenance Supervisor in the United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will manage electrical and mechanical compliance, respond to breakdowns, and carry out installations. Requirements include a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical maintenance and knowledge of PLC systems. This position offers a permanent role with excellent progression opportunities and a competitive pension.

Qualifications

  • Recognised apprenticeship within a Mechanical or Electrical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of plant control and the use of PLC and control systems is preferred.
  • Ability to fault find mechanically advantageous.
  • Enthusiastic and computer literate, with good interpersonal skills.

  • Responding to Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns & faults and managing planned & reactive work.

Job description

We are working with our client in search of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team to support the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring both electrical and Mechanical compliance. This will include the carrying out of installation and maintaining of systems, along with ensuring that breakdowns and planned activities are managed effectively.

Responsibilities and duties include
  • Responding to Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns & faults and managing planned & reactive work in a timely and logical manner.
  • Carry out electrical installation work as required.
  • Using appropriate data and systems to manage the site's electrical & control systems.
  • Liaise and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements
  • Recognised apprenticeship within a Mechanical or Electrical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of plant control and the use of PLC and control systems is preferred.
  • Ability to fault find mechanically advantagous
  • Enthusiastic and computer literate, with good interpersonal skills along with the ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised.
