Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Gaydon is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer. You will work a four day week and be part of a highly skilled maintenance team responsible for ensuring machinery functionality. The ideal candidate should have strong electrical skills, knowledge of PLCs (Siemens), and be well-versed in Pneumatics and Hydraulics. Qualifications

  • Candidates should be electrically orientated with a good understanding of Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
  • Ideally, candidates will be apprentice trained with relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective maintenance support within a high volume manufacturing arena.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all machinery is kept functional and safe.
  • Rapid response to breakdowns and repairs.

Job description
Overview

A phenomenal opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturer and work a four day week (Monday - Thursday).

Candidates should be electrically orientated with an understanding of Pneumatics and Hydraulics, Equipment strip down - pumps, gears, Electrical installations and Fault Finding. Ideally, candidates will be apprentice trained with relevant qualifications, 17th /18th Edition wiring regulations, together with sound knowledge of PLCs (Siemens).

Responsibilities

Working as part of a highly skilled maintenance team that covers all aspects of Plant maintenance, the Maintenance Technician will be required to provide effective maintenance support within a high volume manufacturing arena where continuous production is paramount. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all machinery is kept in a functional and in a safe condition
  • Good working knowledge of ABB Robotics
  • Ability to fault find on Siemens S7 PLCs
  • Ability to clearly read electrical, pneumatic & mechanical drawings during problem solving
  • Providing a rapid response to breakdowns and repair accordingly
  • Perform daily and weekly maintenance planned activities
  • Insure preventive maintenance of all machinery
  • Contribute to TPM process
  • Support new installations required to improve performance
