Job summary

A leading construction manufacturer in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to ensure the smooth running of equipment and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a Time Served Apprenticeship or HNC in Engineering/Manufacturing, along with at least 3 years in an automated manufacturing environment. My client is a specialist manufacturer within the construction industry. They are looking for an experienced Maintenance Lead to join their team in Glasgow on a permanent basis.

Location - Glasgow

Salary per annum (dependent on experience)

Position: Maintenance Team Lead

Type: Permanent

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of Time Served Apprenticeship or HNC in Engineering / Manufacturing
  • 3 Years experience working in a medium - large automated manufacturing operation
  • Previously worked with Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Rotating Equipment etc.
  • Confident with fault finding, issue rectification and routine maintenance activities
  • Background in Mechanical fitting / maintenance positions
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and manage others
  • A flexible and proactive attitude towards work
Responsibilities
  • Being proactive in ensuring the smooth running of all equipment and plant maintenance
  • PPM and breakdown avoidance
  • Ensuring documentation is maintained, site reviews are managed and Health & Safety standards are met
  • Supervising onsite contractors
  • Overseeing the maintenance budget and stock control
  • Ensuring efficiency and a high standard of work is met throughout the site
  • Working with others and being an excellent team player
