Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. In this role, you will lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities, resulting in the optimization of technical and financial resources. Each day, you will oversee execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. Candidate will be working Monday to Thursday (8am-4:45pm) and Friday (6am-12:30pm). This will be a standard shift pattern; however, the successful candidate will be open to shift rotation when required by the business. The work model for the role is onsite at our Coleshill location.

• Solving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults including motors, sensors, control panels, etc.
• Support mechanical maintenance activities (e.g., bearings, conveyors, pneumatics).
• Manage and update technical documentation of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.
• Maintain tools and repairs equipment in good working condition.
• Propose improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
• Respond to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.

Qualifications

• Time served/Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in mechanical fitting, assembly or maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with tool setting and machine tool setup. Familiarity with common workshop machines (lathes, mills, drills, grinders) and cutting tools is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of maintenance activities with the use of CMMS systems. Experience in data analysis through such systems to focus activities for greater results.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings to support manufacturing and machine improvements.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels within the business.
