A leading service provider in England is seeking a Maintenance Operative to manage repairs including plumbing and joinery. The ideal candidate will have prior maintenance experience, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Full UK driving licence must be held. Vehicle and tools provided.
Here at Serco, we work with Asylum Accommodation and Support Services to assist individuals through the asylum system, which includes providing them with temporary accommodation.
As the Maintenance Operative your role is key in ensuring all requested repairs, be that reactive or proactive and pre planned (via manager), are carried out to the required standard and within our SLA deadlines. You will be required to be able to fit fire doors and frames, complete a fitted kitchen and fit a bathroom including all plumbing and pipework.
This is an exciting opportunity covering Birmingham for an individual with previous maintenance experience within a field relating to joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting & decorating etc. You will be a highly motivated individual who can manage your own workflow as well as working within a team when necessary.
As a Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and that of all users of the property during, and after works have been undertaken and completed.
As part of your role, you will be required to purchase and manage materials using a company account card from approved Serco suppliers only. Vehicles provided by the company will be inspected regularly by employees and kept in a professional and clean condition.
