Maintenance Engineer

Location: Sleaford

Shift Pattern: 3 on 4 off - 6pm to 6am (36 hour week)

Salary: up to £50,000 per annum

Our client within FMCG is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their engineering team at their site near Sleaford. This role is ideal for an engineer with both electrical and mechanical expertise who is looking to support site maintenance, improve reliability, and contribute to ongoing engineering projects.

Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, including reactive breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
  • Carry out machine setups to support production and ensure safe, compliant working practices.
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation and assist with wider site engineering projects.
  • Manage engineering stores, order spare parts, and oversee contractor activities.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and site management teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of health & safety and food-industry compliance.
Requirements
  • Formal Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Experience in a similar role such as (multi skilled engineer, shift engineer, shift technician, engineering technician, electrical maintenance engineer)
  • 18th edition regulations is desirable
  • Time-served engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Knowledge of FMCG processes and experience working to GMP standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
