Building Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 (with potential to earn more based on productivity)

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding maintenance team. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer who thrives on variety, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality reactive repairs across a range of commercial and industrial environments.

You’ll play a key part in keeping buildings safe, functional, and well-presented by responding quickly to call-outs and completing works to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive building fabric maintenance, repairs, and small works
• Perform carpentry, joinery, and door repairs
• Undertake general plumbing and patch plastering
• Complete painting, decorating, and finishing tasks
• Respond to urgent breakdowns and building fabric issues
• Deliver excellent customer service while ensuring safety and compliance at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience in building fabric maintenance (commercial experience preferred)
• Strong multi-trade skillset and hands-on approach
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding ability
• Full UK driving licence (company van provided)
• Strong communication skills and customer-facing confidence
• Flexibility to work occasional out-of-hours when required
